Club Finances
The Club publishes its financial statements once a year, typically in March, for the period July-June for the previous season. The Trust regularly publishes its own analysis of these financial results as they give valuable insight into the revenues generated by the Club, the funds spent on and raised by transfer activity, the Club’s indebtedness, monies spent on non-football activity and more. This analysis is independent of the Club. We do not have privileged access to commercial and other financial documents not in the public domain, although the Club does respond to questions asked by our team in the course of their work. It is also given an opportunity to comment on any material factual misrepresentation prior to publication but does not provide any endorsement of its conclusions.
The principal company within the group is Tottenham Hotspur Limited, which owns a number of subsidiary companies, the most important of which are Tottenham Hotspur Football & Athletic Co. Ltd (runs the men’s football team), Tottenham Hotspur Women’s Football Club Limited (runs the women’s team) and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Limited (owns and runs the stadium). There are also a number of subsidiaries that own the training ground and the Club’s other property interests. Further detail on the structure of the Club (and its place within the larger ENIC group) can be found here. Our analysis focuses on the consolidated results of Tottenham Hotspur Limited as this captures all of the activities of the group.
